MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer Neeti Mohan is all set to make her TV debut as a narrator with Bindass' 'Ye Hai Aashiqui' alongside Mohit Chauhan.
The singer has begun shooting for the same and she is enjoying the experience. However, there are a few things that Neeti had to learn about being in front of the camera from her sister Shakti Mohan.
Shakti has been on television for a while now. She was last seen on Star Plus’ ‘Dance Plus’ as a mentor.
“Shakti told me that being on TV is very different from being on stage. The first tip that she gave me was to open my mouth lesser while singing. I think that was the best tip. She also asked me to stay relaxed and most importantly connect with the camera. I used her tips as a nice elder sister,” Neeti told Radioandmusic.com.
The tips are helping the singer but she is still trying to get used to erratic TV shoot timings. “The production team used to call at 7 am and the shooting would go on till 7 pm. But, I would be all done physically and mentally by 5 pm. I am not used to being in make-up and in front of the camera for that long or wait in between shots. I think I need to develop more patience. Maybe after three to four shoots. I will be more patient,” averred the ‘Jiya Re’ singer.
The show will go on air from 21 February 2016.
