MUMBAI: Singer-songwriter Farhan Akhtar's Zinda Tour will be heading to the United States of America, this May. Confirmed by Farout Media's Anurag Rao, the Zinda Tour's domestic success led to the idea for the tour's extension to the US.
Farhan Akhtar and the band performed in Chennai (6 Feb), Delhi (13 Feb), Navi Mumbai (20 Feb). The Indian leg of the Zinda tour will end with a performance in Mysore on 27 February. In 2016, Akhtar performed for a few renowned festivals and events like U/A (Delhi), Lucknow Mahotsav and the Sympulse Fest (Pune).
However, the Zinda Tour received a major boost with event organisers 'Live 2U' stepping in to execute the tour's American leg.
Says Rao, "We tried for the American leg last year. Due to a few complications, the idea couldn't be executed. However, in May, Akhtar will travel to six American cities for the Zinda Tour." Akhtar, last seen on celluloid in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, will next be seen on screen in Rock On 2, the sequel to the 2008 hit film, which also showcased his vocal skills. The film has been shot majorly in Shillong, Meghalaya.
