MUMBAI: 'Teraa Surroor' is the latest weapon from Himesh Reshammiya's armoury. This film, a sequel to the 2007 film 'Aap Kaa Surroor', will release on 11 March 2016.
Directed by Shawn Arranha, it promises to be a lethal love story; starring Himesh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Farah Karimi in leading roles and Shekhar Kapoor, Kabir Bedi and Monica Dogra in supporting roles.
All the soundtracks turn out to be the zenith of all of Himesh's endeavours so far, at first listen. The tracks are quite passionate and expressive. The music programmers Salman Shaikh, Sakar Apte, Anudutt Shamain and the guitarist Vivek Verma have also done a great job.
Now let us have a look at the soundtracks. The soundtracks of ‘Teraa Surroor’ are composed by Himesh Reshammiya himself. The first track titled ‘Main Woh Chaand’ is a very melodious number, released on 29 January 2016 and by this time, has garnered more than 37 lakh views on YouTube.
'Main Woh Chaand'
Song: Main Woh Chaand
Singer: Darshan Raval
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan
‘Main Woh Chaand’ is sung by India’s RAWstar finalist Darshan Raval and penned by lyricist Sameer Anjaan. The number is soothing on the ears and the utilization of Ghalib’s shayari ‘Ishq Ne Gaalib Nikamma Kar Diya Varna Hum Bhi Aadami the Kaabil’ made a good impression on us.
'Bekhudi'
Song: Bekhudi
Singers: Darshan Raval, Aditi Singh Sharma
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan
Another chartbuster number from this movie is ‘Bekhudi’. According to us, both Darshan Raval and Aditi Singh Sharma sound amazing, with their voices magically flattering the whole aura of the song. It has got more than two million views in two weeks on YouTube. The soothing track hits your heart in the right spots, if you have been bottling up your feelings for long. It’s a wonderful melancholic piece of melody and with Himesh keeping the music arrangement as effortless as Sameer’s words and the vocals, the two singers lift the song far above the mediocre.
'Wafa Ne Bewafai'
Song: Wafa Ne Bewafai
Singer: Arijit Singh, Neeti Mohan, Suzanne D'mello
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan
Himesh knows how to hit bull’s eye with his songs. The third track, ‘Wafa Ne Bewafai’ is no less. Wafa Ne Bewafai has an engaging pact with an appealing catch line. The icing on the cake is Arijit Singh’s voice. Neeti Mohan and Suzanne D’Mello have accompanied him on this one and together they infuse life into Sameer’s mundane lyrics. Full marks to the composer on this one!
'Teri Yaad'
Song: Teri Yaad
Singer: Himesh Reshammiya,Badshah
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed
The next track ‘Teri Yaad’ is certainly for individuals who love listening to Himesh’s nasal vocals. This peppy track features Badshah, and it is satisfying for Himesh’s fans. This song has two versions. The first version has various peppy arrangements and the reprised version is more melodious and composed.
'Adhuri Zindagi'
Song: Adhuri Zindagi
Singer: Rituraj Mohanty
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan
In ‘Adhuri Zindagi’, the second last track of this album, Mohanty skilfully gives a passionate and stimulating piece while Himesh’s arrangement is absolutely on the mark. The catch line is pretty addictive yet again and this one can also grab the attention of listeners!
‘Ishq Samundar’
Song: Ishq Samundar (Reloaded)
Singer: Himesh Reshammiya, Kanika Kapoor
Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Anand Raj Anand
Anand Raj Anand’s ‘Ishq Samundar’ from the film ‘Kaante’ comes reloaded with a Himesh approach! This song comes with some Middle-Eastern music arrangement along with some strange background vocals. Himesh has sung this track along with Kanika Kapoor. We personally prefer the original one any day!
