MUMBAI: Stories of never-ending television shooting hours keep the news mills churning. However, it's rare when a celebrity openly speaks about it. But when they do spill the beans, they are worth a read.
We at radioandmusic.com too got some eye-opening stuff from 'Gallan Goodiyan' fame singer Yashita Sharma.
Sharma, who was a contestant on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2009, revealed that there was a point during her reality show days when she felt exploited as a contestant. "I cannot blame them -- the show or the makers -- neither am I cribbing about it. But, there was a point when I did feel exploited. I used to be on the sets for endless hours," confessed the singer.
But, then she is not holding on to the past for according to her it was Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that gave her the platform to showcase her talent. "When I look back today all those shooting hours feel worth it for I am here because of it," said the 'Lapak Jhapak' singer.
For the ones who plan to participate in a reality show Sharma gives a piece of advice. "It's not all pink and roses. There will be tough times and you will have to be prepared for it. Most people see the glamour but there is a lot of hard work that goes into it," ended she.
