MUMBAI: History repeated itself once again yesterday (15 May 2016) as an RJ once again managed to steal a Bollywood diva's heart – RJ Anmol wed actor Amrita Rao in a ceremony attended by their families. Well, the first couple to have met on radio were Nargis and Sunil Dutt.

Dutt Saab started his career as an RJ on Hindi service of Radio Ceylon where he had to interview Nargis, but the show was cancelled as he could not utter a word in front of Nargis. Later he went on to save her life on the sets of ‘Mother India’ and the rest is history.

Something similar happened in the lives of RJ Amol and Amrita Rao. The duo met during Anmol’s Mirchi days. He interviewed her for one of her films to only end up falling in love for each other.

The duo had been together for seven years before they planned to get married. The wedding ceremony that took place in the outskirts of Mumbai was a hush-hush one with only close family members making it to the ceremony.

Anmol made it official on his Facebook page as he posted: “An interview that started seven years back, continues...Only to get stronger today! Just married! Amrita and I need your good wishes.”

The newlyweds are currently keeping their hands off the wedding temptations like an awesome honeymoon. According to a source close to the couple, “They are not going for their honeymoon yet, as they have work commitments to fulfil. Amrita is currently shooting for &TV’s ‘Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai’ and Anmol is busy RJing for Radio Nasha.”

If our sources are to be believed Anmol made it to the Nasha office today to host his show.

A source further added, “They will mostly be moving out in a couple of days to spend some time with their family, but honeymoon is nowhere close.”

Furthermore, though both Amrita and Amol have been fiercely guarding their relationship they will make it a grand affair in the coming weeks. The couple in love will be throwing a reception party for their family and industry friends. The reception date has not been locked yet.
