MUMBAI: Filmmaker Saurabh Varma has roped in popular radio jockey Rohit Vir as the main villain in '7 Hours to Go'. The RJ says he was pleasantly surprised when he was offered the role.
"I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered to play a serious villain, as my personality is just the opposite of that. I am glad that the director believed in me more than I believed in myself," Rohit said.
"This villain will definitely intrigue you as he is very real and his traits are inspired by many real life characters. Therefore, you will see a kind of familiarity with people you see on news and hence may enjoy it," added the RJ, who is associated with Radio City.
‘7 Hours To Go’ is an investigative thriller based in Mumbai.
Varma, the film's writer-director revealed: "Rohit plays a villain with a quirk. He likes to do things in quirky fashion and the story revolves around an incident for which he is responsible."
"I always like to challenge my actors, and Rohit accepted the challenge. He has done a fabulous job in the film. I have made him laugh, cry, shout, scream and everything that he was not prepared to do," Varma added.
The film releases on 24 June.
