MUMBAI: Delhi-based contemporary pop band ‘Shadow and Light’ recently won a contest organised by SongDew. Songdew is the fast growing music networking platform which provides opportunities for indie musicians.

The Songdew opportunity winner ‘Shadow and Light’ duo Anindo Bose and Pavithra Chari will be shooting a music video with them very soon. Anindo Bose is into music arrangement, production and Pavithra Chari puts her imagination in words along with her soulful vocals.

“We have won the Songdew opportunity contest and we will start shooting for a music video in a little while. We are collaborating with Songdew for World Music Day but we will not perform anywhere,” said Pavithra, confirming the reports.

The video will be directed by Taj Naqvi, who is associated with Yash Raj Films – YRF and A Little Anarky Films.

The band ‘Shadow and Light’ was born on a chilly afternoon of November in New Delhi, from the efforts of two people to unlock the potential within a few notes of music. The band debuted with a self-titled album in June 2014 and released its second album 'Elements' in February 2016 as well as a music video 'Dua' with Pepsi MTV Indies. Their second album ‘Elements’ was released for online sales on Oklisten and iTunes last month.

Shadow and Light performed in Blue frog, Mumbai last month and is looking forward to its next show in this city.
