Post 'Dalinder Dance' success, DJ/Producer Sumit Sethi to perform in Spain

MUMBAI: Be it a mainstream generic Bollywood party number or the theme song for a movie, music arranger and producer Sumit Sethi has done both – and everything in between. For his upcoming project, the 29-year-old continues to work on his forte and further work on the repertoire he has created as Bollywood’s one of the ‘go-to’ guys for production tasks.

The DJ/Producer has performed several roles for the execution of the latest party track from the movie ‘7 Hours To Go’. Sethi’s arrangement and production experience so far resulted into the contribution for the newest dance track 'Dalinder Dance'. The Producer has earlier arranged and produced several recent hits like ‘Chittiyaan Kalaiyan’, ‘Pink Lips’ and others.

The movie features Shiv Pandit, Varun Badola and Natasha Stankovic, and the release of Dalinder Dance by Zee Music Company on its YouTube channel has received over one lakh views in fifteen days since its upload. Quirky, peppy compositions guarantee success, and music producers have largely focused on using the formula for commercial as well as critical acknowledgment. And it’s the little technical details that distinguish one song from another.

The Delhi-based DJ will perform live at the upcoming IIFA Stomp Mulafest in Madrid, Spain and the producer loves the comfort that a studio provides as much as the excitement through live gigs. Mulafest features several Indian acts like Midival Punditz, Karsh Kale and Raghu Dixit. Sethi informs representing Indian mainstream music on an international platform.

The DJ plans to incorporate international dhol performers into his live set. “I would be representing Indian music in a way. And this would be my way of showcasing our mainstream music.”

Sethi, also a part of Punjab Project, recreated and reimagined the ‘Nehar Wale Pul’ with Sona Mohapatra. And the DJ further added the contribution for Punjab Project would continue with more recreations.
