MUMBAI: Sreerama Chandra Mynampati, the winner of Indian Idol 5 (2010) will be releasing a series of ten singles very soon.
Sreerama, who hails from Hyderabad, is a professional Bollywood singer. He recently performed at IIFA 2016 along with one of his mentors Pritam Chakraborty.
While talking about his current projects in a candid conversation withradioandmusic.com, he said, “I am working on a series of 10 singles right now which will be out soon. I will be singing and acting in all of those music videos. The genre of each music video will be different for diverse listeners and the composers I have worked with earlier will be composing for the music videos. There will be a dance number, one club number, one mellow number and more. The names of the singles are not decided yet; we will be naming them according to the genre.”
Sreerama, who can sing in nine languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada and English is well known for his Bollywood songs such as ‘Subhanallah’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Balma’ from ‘Khiladi 786’, ‘Haal E Dil’ from ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ and ‘Aafreen’ (second Version) for ‘1920 London’.
Apart from being a Bollywood playback singer, he is also an actor who debuted with the Telugu film ‘Sri Jagadguru Aadi Sankara’ and played a lead in ‘Prema Geema Jaanta Nai’. He recently sang the title track ‘Brahmotsavam’ of a Telugu movie ‘Brahmotsavam.’
“For any artist, performing at IIFA is a dream come true. I was supposed to be a part of IIFA two years ago, couldn’t make it because of family engagements. Performing at IIFA 2016 with Pritam Chakraborty along with outstanding Spanish musicians was momentous,” shared Sreerama while talking about his experience at IIFA 2016 which took place in Madrid, Spain.
