MUMBAI: Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry says the band's farewell tour in 2017 is simply "an option".
Addressing fellow bandmate Steven Tyler's claim that Aerosmith is preparing for a last tour next year, Perry said "(I) always hold my breath whenever Steven does an interview on his own," Rolling Stone magazine reported.
"It could be the last. But it is really hard for me to imagine a last gig. Sorry," Perry said, adding that the band first discussed the idea a decade ago and they have toyed with it since.
"The band gets better and better. It will probably be called the final tour, but I play every night like it is the last show anyway. Calling it that will definitely give a different flavour to this. And who knows what's in the stars," he added.
Perry said that the band could still make albums despite their "final tour".
"It is kind of like writing an autobiography. I always put it off because it is like, 'Hey, there is more to come,' but if anything does happen after we are done with this, I can write another one. I can write a new edition and add more," he added.
