MUMBAI: Aanchal Shrivastava who made her singing debut with Vikram Bhatt's 'Love Games' recently crooned a Punjabi folk song titled 'Madhaniyan'.

The number has been remodeled by 'Dhanak's' composer Tapas Relia and released by Being Indian Music. The digital channel was last in news for having released Sonu Nigam's song 'Crazy Dil'.

'Madhaniyan' video condemns child marriage and puts a word on the beauty of marriage when done at the right time and right age. "As a singer I strongly believe that wherever possible, I should try and spread the right message through my songs and video. If even if one person is affected by the thought, my victory is there," said the singer.

Aanchal found that change worthy thought in this Punjabi folk song. "This thought (stop child marriage) was as pure as the song and we all (culture machine and me) felt something absolutely right about it," added she.

However, Aanchal is not the first one to have crooned the song. Neha bhasin sang it a couple of weeks ago. talking about the same the singer said, "I love Neha Bhasin's version of the same song but my version is more acoustic. I am a fan of Sameeruddin work, but Tapas has done a fabulous job with the piano. So, I can't compare our songs as they both have different arrangements."

Furthermore the the former RJ chose the song because she is emotionally attached to it. In fact, Aanchal had always wanted to sing the song. Thsu, when she recieved a call from Tapas asking her to record the track for her, she was more than happy to do so.

"I want every woman, who is getting married to think of this song as their bidai song and actually play it at that hour. If it happens, I would consider it my biggest achievement," ended the singer.
