MUMBAI: We have got news for you. Mauli Dave, the petite girl from Canada, who created waves with her killer singing style on Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, got married a few years ago. She is now expecting her first child.

Sources told Radioandmusic.com, “Mauli got married two years ago in January 2014, and is now expecting a child.”

Mauli, who is touring the US with her husband, posted this recently on one of her social media accounts.

Mauli represented USA in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s auditions which happened internationally. She went through five to six rounds of auditions in the US and later in Mumbai. Mauli became a reality pop icon overnight with her popular rendition of the song ‘Mayya Mayya’ from ‘Guru’. Her mentor in the show, Bappi Lahiri gave her the name ‘Indian Shakira’. She eventually reached the top ten and had a surprising elimination after reaching the top seven.
