MUMBAI: Shekhar Ravjiani paid a musical tribute to his mentor Jagjit Singh here. Overwhelmed by the response, the singer-composer says it was the blessings of the late singer that made the show special.
Shekhar, who is one-half of the famous composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, took to Twitter to express his views after the show, in which he got a standing ovation from the audience.
He tweeted, "The warm beautiful people of Singapore who made the show so special last night. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi. Jagjit uncles blessings made this show one of the most special concerts of my life. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi."
Shekhar, known for hit tracks like 'Tujhe Bhula Diya', 'Bin Tere' and 'Meherbaan', also shared that it was a "humbling moment" for him.
He posted, "A truly humbling moment last night when the audience gave me a standing ovation. Blessed. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi".
On the singing front, Shekhar's compositions along with Vishal was heard in film "Akira", and will next be part of films like 'Banjo' and 'Befikre'.
