'Aave Re Hitchki' - beautiful sound; not so appealing video

MUMBAI: Bollywood music has a wide variety of sound ranging from classical to hip-hop and now electronic. However, it’s always a pleasure to hear music that is more connected to our soil. Mirzya's latest song 'Aave Re Hitchki' is one such song.

'Aave Re Hitchki' brings that Indian feel that we experienced during 'Swades', 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Lagaan'. This song brings alive the essence of the missing Indian melody.

Music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s experience in the music industry reflects in the track and Gulzar's mastery of words in its lyrics. Mame Khan and Shankar Mahadevan voices add to the feel of the song.

However, the video of the song does not do justice to this mesmerising number. Actors Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher look average in the song with the setup too being limited.

Overall ‘Aave Re Hitchki’ is a song that one would fall in love with instantaneously, while girls are liable to fall for the looks of the Kapoor lad.
