MUMBAI: Virtual reality themed content is the new trend. Content creators have been experimenting with the concept to produce unique and fascinating videos. Less than ten days to its release, Farhan Akhtar-starrer Rock On 2 released the rock anthem 'Rock On' on T-Series' YouTube page, titled ‘Rock On Revisited', in the virtual reality video format.

The music video features Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor on the vocals, Arjun Rampal on guitars, Shashank Arora on bass and Purab Kohli on drums. Viewer can move, drag or scroll the 360 degree video according to the desired angle. Set in an enclosed studio against a grayish background, the video – 3:51 minute long – provides the audience/viewer an interesting activity for viewing pleasure.

Produced by Nirvana Films, the music video has been directed by Prakash Varma. The musicians for the composition of the track feature Darshan Doshi on drums, Loy Mendonsa on bass and the Farhan and Shraddha executing the vocal responsibilities.

The concept has gained momentum among the western music acts, and Indian production houses have lately started to use the idea on a smaller scale. With lesser than a fortnight to go, the Rock On 2 team has accelerated its marketing and promotional strategies, and the latest effort would only help their cause.
