MUMBAI: Amaal Mallik, the youngest music composer in Bollywood who has made waves with his music in ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ as its sole composer, is again in the news. Amaal has lent his voice for a song ‘Catch Me If You Can’ for ‘Force 2’ starring Sonakshi Sinha and John Abraham.
Amaal Mallik made his singing debut with his self-composition ‘O Khuda’ in ‘Hero’ and according to him this song ‘Catch Me If You Can’ is poles apart from his earlier projects.
Amaal says, “It is a psychedelic track, and they wanted me to sound a little edgy and evil for Tahir's (John) character. It's the first time I've sung for someone else and it's been a blast! I'm surprised the manner my voice sounded in this song. Because of Gourov Dasgupta and Roshin Balu, this is a side to my singing I have discovered. It was insane fun jamming with them and Kumaar, the man who has written several songs with me.”
“It's a song where one man is standing as an obstacle to all the ploys put up by India and its agents. He is challenging them at every step asking them to catch him if they can,” added he.
Gourov-Roshin jointly told IANS, “It is a wicked EDM track with a philosophical twist which talks about a man suffering from God syndrome. It is Amaal Mallik's first vocal endeavour for another music composer."
We have done a story earlier on Amaal’s composition for the upcoming film Force 2 starring Sonakshi Sinha and John Abraham. Sung by Armaan Malik, the song ‘Ishaara’ was released on 27 October 2016 on T-series. Earlier he has mentioned that the song is a deep romantic ballad and has a European vibe to it as well. ‘The song 'Koi Ishara' is love in its purest form," said Amaal.
