MUMBAI: The winter session of Parliament that began today (16 November 2016) brought both criticism and appreciation for the BJP government, on the burning monetisation issue.
PM Narendra Modi’s surgical move was questioned in the Parliament, but there are many who are supporting this fight against corruption. The latest to join the ‘demonetisation’ bandwagon is singer Sonu Nigam.
Nigam, known to air his views without fear or favour, stars in a video titled ‘Kaagaz’ , directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and released on 15 November 2016.
The video features Nigam reciting poetry, on the importance of paper/ money in our life. The video sums it up with a rising sun as a symbol of a better tomorrow.
The video had been created beautifully and the background score has been given by Raju Singh.

It’s commendable how Sonu and his team completed the video in a week from the decision that has left most of the Indian population foxed.
