MUMBAI: Indian Idol season is making a comeback to TV after four years with judges Anu Malik, Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam - all of whom will be seen on The Kapil Sharma show this Saturday.
Sony Entertainment Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show started with the theme of guests appearing on screen for promoting their upcoming films while keeping the audience in peals of laughter with Kapil’s wit and humour.
The show seems to inclined towards music. Since it began in April, it has been inviting not only film stars and directors to promote their movies, singers have also been invited for promoting their albums and latest songs sung for an upcoming film.
Famous singers and music composers like Arijit Singh, music composer-singer A.R Rahman, ‘ Teri Deewani’ singer Kailash Kher, combination of composer and singer Amaal and Armaan Malik, rapper Honey Singh are the few names who have been on the show.
The audience of The Kapil Sharma Show seem to be giving a positive response when found musical guests on the show. Few more guests arrived were Mithoon, Meet Bros, Kanika Kapoor, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Last month, brothers Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh visited the show to promote their album ‘ Sohniye’. Similarly Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was found on the show to promote his singles 'Befikra' 'Dillagi', and Tum Ho Toh' released by T-series.
The show has played a major role in bringing the essence of Sufi music to the audience in its original way. Artists like singer and musician from Amritsar Wadali Brothers and duo from Jalandhar Noora Sisters are much known to audience after their appearance on the show.
Not only Indian, international artists too have made an appearance on the show. British band The Vamps in collaboration with music singer-composer Vishal-Shekhar had come with a music video ‘ Beliya’ in August this year and the band along with Shekhar were on the show for promoting the video.
