MUMBAI: Singer-actor Meiyang Chang will soon be seen playing a gay character in Voot Original’s upcoming web series 'Untag'.

The web series that talks about going beyond the tags that the world around us gives us with the tagline – ‘Lose the shame be better than the tag’ had roped in some well-known film and web faces, Chang is one of them.

What’s interesting is that the singer who has been seen in different roles on both small and big screen earlier will play a gay character onscreen for the first time.

The promo of this web series shows Chang – character name Nishchay Baruah -- saying that he is an MBA, a marathon runner and a poet, but the world still tags him as gay.

The other actors who are part of this series are Dipannita Sharma, Shiv Pandit, VJ Andy and Sudev Nair.
