MUMBAI: This is indeed an exciting moment for all those who like adding a bit of 'me' element to their favorite Bollywood track. Jonita Gandhi, the young talented artist who stormed Bollywood with her incredible voice in 2016 with several hits such as ‘Sau Tarah Ke’ from ‘Dishoom’, ‘Gilirehiyan’ from ‘Dangal’ and ‘The Break Up Song’ from ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’ is now making you a part of her special song.

‘The Break Up Song’ that became the youth anthem with quirky lyrics that perfectly summed up dealing with break ups in a much light-hearted manner will now be open to your perception. Gandhi who started her career with YouTube is giving her fans a chance to be featured in a special video on her official YouTube channel. To be a part of the video one will have to send in their version of the song to teamjonita@gmail.com.

However, there are a few things that one will have to keep in mind while doing so. Ones sending in the song will have to stick to the original tune and tempo. Plus they will have to send in the entries by 11:59 pm on 10 February, IST. A handful of selected best entries recorded in their own voice will then be featured on Jonita’s channel in a mashup video.

Speaking about doing this unique idea, Jonita said, "I saw a lot of great dubsmash videos when the song first came out, so I'm really looking forward to hearing the submissions for this contest. This is the first time I'm interacting with my fans this way and I'm excited to see and hear their talents."
