MUMBAI: The YouTube sensation Mithila Palkar who went viral for her cup video had never thought of becoming a singer. Palkar a music lover couldn't continue her Hindustani classical music training for long due to her busy schedules. The singer has always tried her hands at both singing and acting, but acting consumed most her time, giving her very little time for music. Thus, being known as a musician post her YouTube stint was a welcome change for Palkar.

She says, “It was a lazy Sunday when I thought to do something. Cup song was just an experiment and I never thought I could do it so well and that people would like it too.”

Palkar debuted as an actor with ‘Katti Batti’, followed it with ‘Filter Copy’ and certain web series. Much later she gave a chance to herself to also be a singer. Being musically inclined played a major role here.

“People who’ve known me well are familiar with my love for singing. No matter where I am, I will be always found singing and humming songs. So, I see myself very much connected to music,” says Palkar.

The singer-actor highly admires Priyanka Chopra and if she ever gets a chance to create an album with an international artiste, she would want to work with Ed Sheeren and Cold Play.

Her Bollywood idol is Shreya Ghoshal and she would like to sing in different genres and languages like her.
