MUMBAI: The 'Phillauri' duo Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh have been doing their part to promote their upcoming release. From attending talk shows to even reprising the song 'Dum Dum' in Diljit's voice and now they have released a little snippet of the making of the song.
The last time we spoke about ‘Phillauri’ was when the reprised version came out. It indeed flaunts the versatility of Diljit as an overall artiste. Although Diljit had a pretty successful music career in Punjab but pulling off a semi-classical number really defines his potential.
Now the crew gifted the audience with a tiny snippet of the making of the video and Diljit’s take on the entire escapade. Here you can see Diljit talking about how the song ‘Dum Dum’ grows on you after a couple of plays and how matching the standard of the original song was indeed a challenge for him.
The Udta Punjab man ends the interview on a very humble and sweet note saying the reprised version is a bonus track for the audience. “Woh kya bolte hain English main? Haan! Bonus track.” (What do you call it in English? Yes! A bonus track)
