MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, one of the leading content houses in the country, pays tribute to Anandji Bhai of Kalyanji Anandji duo for his contribution to the Hindi Film Industry by launching '51 Superhits of Kalaynji Anandji' – a jukebox on Shemaroo Entertainment’s YouTube channel – ‘Filmi Gaane.’

The compilation features 51 original songs from films like ‘Don’, ‘Saraswatichandra’, ‘Chhalia’, ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’, ‘Victoria No 203’, ‘Sachaa Jhutha’ and many more besides the evergreen romantic hit ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ from ‘Blackmail’.

Anandji shared his thoughts on the occasion “I was immensely touched when the idea was brought to me by a team of enthusiastic kids from Shemaroo. We worked together to create this compilation named ‘51 Superhits of Kalaynji Anandji’ and bring together musical treat for my fans. I am excited and waiting to see the response.” He particularly spoke at length about the music of ‘Saraswatichandra’, a classic black and white film made in the colour era and for which Kalyanji-Anandji bagged the National Award for best music. Anandji also shared some very interesting trivia about the songs he and his elder brother composed for ‘Don’, ‘Victoria No. 203’ and several other films whose songs are included in the compilation.
