MUMBAI: Ekam Satt has been conceptualised and curated by Banker turned musician, the illustrious Ameya Dabli. He has performed at over 1500 concerts globally.. Performers for the show include a stellar line up, including of Ameya Dabli, a student of the legendary Dr. Prabha Atre Ji who is trained in both western and classical music, the legendary classical performer Devaki Pandit and the world renowned flautist Rakesh Chaurasia who is better known as his uncle Hariprasad Chaurasia's "Most accomplished disciple''.
Ekam Satt – One Truth, One Humanity focuses on this precise theme that eventually it is a one world family and speaks and demonstrates this belief through performances to match this universal truth. This extravagant and multi-cultural concert showcases the culmination of Sufi, folk and global contemporary music. The Ekam Satt promotes not only an array of Indian melodies but also patterns such as reggae, hip hop, opera among other modern, thereby truly living up to the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam theme as also appeal to the youngsters. It features the works of legendary poets such as Kabirdas, Mirabai, Narsinh Mehta, Guru Nanak Dev, Amir Khusro, Gospels from the Bible, Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Buddha, Tukaram, Tulsidas, and others. The Ekam Satt, unlike other concerts, will be donating a 50 per cent of the of ticket sales proceeds towards the 'Helping Hands Foundation India', an NGO working for treatment of children (under age 5) with cancer.
