'DONUT DONUT' featuring DJ Zaltan and Spacejams was all about exploding tunes

MUMBAI: For this first edition of ‘DONUT DONUT’, which happened on 13 May 2017 at Bonobo, was a new mini-tour connecting the greatest of the underground club music with the Indian and Gulf outlook. Radioandmusic.com witnessed the supporting act by Spacejams aka Yohann Jamsandekar, followed by Paris-based DJ Zaltan, who pumped off the jam with dancefloor-friendly tunes of all eras.

People who do not know, Quentin Vandewalle aka Zaltan has reached Resident Advisor’s Top 5 labels and praised by Juno Records as well in recent times. The bossman of one of the best labels of recent times is also running his own label, Antinote.

Zaltan, who has been into DJing for more than a decade, put his energy into his mixes. His set was a maelstrom of Caribbean bangers, French proto-house tracks, dark electro fantasies and indeed some bomb tunes. The act was supported by Mumbai-based Spacejams aka Yohann Jamsandekar who is known for his eclectic taste in music. Known for amalgamation tracks of a variety of genres, ranging from early acid house, pounding techno, unmodified tech, bass, new wave, indie dance, and disco, Yohann’s music offered us a musical journey with fresh deep, refined, smudged reverberation. In addition, he is also a member of the party-squad Bhavishyavani Future Soundz.
