MUMBAI: AR Rahman was indeed the theme of IIFA 2017. It was about celebrating one of the biggest geniuses of the Indian music industry who has also made his presence felt international. On such an occasion the music industry couldn’t help but share their cherished experiences with Rahman.

Singer Benny Dayal, one of the biggest fans of Rahman spoke about his first memory of him and how honoured he is to be chosen by Rahman. Also being Rahman special, for the evening Dayal suited up in a black suit with silver shoes with three colours on them. The shoes symbolized Rahman and his silver jubilee.
