MUMBAI: Over twenty five years ago, brothers Peter and Tarquin Katis began releasing music as The Philistines Jr. Multiple albums, tours, peel sessions and side projects followed throughout the 90s, their intriguing brand of experimental indie pop simultaneously endearing and putting off fans and critics alike.
The band re-emerged in 2010 with the sprawling If a band plays in the woods LP and have once more weighed in with their latest release, a stark cover of Interpol's NYC inspired by the band's current Turn On The Bright Lights 15th Anniversary tour.
With Tarquin's own children, Henry (14) and Helen (10) handling the vocals, NYC in an exciting teaser to the band's upcoming EP which is now accompanied by this fresh set of visuals, described by Clash Magazine as " A lo-fi, intimate walk around New York.”
