MUMBAI: Vasuda Sharma has come a long way from being the Aasma girl to an independent artiste to Miss V. We have seen different avatars of the singer-songwriter over the years and this isn’t ending at it. The singer now, reveals her glamorous side, something that she refers to as her alter ego with her new track Unavailable. The single is in association with Qyuki.
The new single is a part of Vasuda’s electronic act Miss V. “I made this track a year ago. This was also when I started writing and arranging my own music. Back then I had a very basic idea of it being a dance-oriented number. I worked on rest later,” says the singer.
It was only after meeting Rupin Suchak the picture got clearer for the singer. “He came with the concept of introducing dance in scenes to get novelty in the video. This is when choreographer Jahnavi Sheriff joined us. She has done jazz, hip-hop and contemporary moves in the video. There is also some playing with the sand and all of this makes the video interesting. Even the cinematography is done brilliantly by Tanveer Mir,” explains Sharma.
Most would wonder why the pretty looking singer did not choose to show some dance moves and to this, she says, “During Aasma days I did a lot of dance rehearsals with Terrance Lewis. I could have learnt some freestyle for this video too but I thought a better thing to do would be to get an expert.”
Elaborating on the glamour quotient the singer says, “Everyone has an alter ego. This is that side of me. It’s a side of me that is full of attitude.”
Sharma has managed to bring out that side of her in the video and she is happy with the outcome.

Under Miss V, Sharma is working on a bunch of new songs that will be a part of her new EP. It will have five songs. This will release around mid-December. “These too will be English songs and I understand they will not be mass appeal songs so, I don’t expect much,” confesses the singer.
Lastly, the singer thanked Qyuki for their support.
