MUMBAI: The pop singer of India Daler Mehndi has taken the spiritual path with Sikh Route, a set of inspirational videos. These videos aim at bringing forward the teaching of Guru Nanak.

“Sikhism teaches you to love; Sikh Route is for anyone who is willing to learn. It's for the one who wants to be on the path of their inner growth which we refer to as ‘inner journey’. We are not terming the word ‘Sikhism’ as a cliché term because the meaning of it in Sanskrit is shishya, which means faith and it teaches you to love. So we know the subject quite well and we are willing to share it with the world. Sikh Route is the one who is willing to see and understand himself as a shysha. Spirituality does not necessarily mean that if one is a Muslim he/she should follow Islam, as faith and belief work hand in hand," explains Daler.

His spouse Taranpreet Kaur and co-creator of the Sikh Route, “I gave this idea to start up Sikh Route and Daler ji lifted the concept up. Also for Sikh Route we have spoken to people with immense knowledge and experience. They have joined Daler ji to reveal their stories which you will see in the upcoming episodes. The first episode is out while there are so many gurbani’s which are already recorded and they will be out soon.”
