MUMBAI: SongFest With Gaurav's new offering to its audience is a beautiful rendition by Shalmali Kholgade. The song Pyar Ke Charche is sung by Shalmali along with the creator of SongFest Gaurav Dagaonkar.
"I have always not wanted to do covers, but one day Gaurav called me and told me that it is a revisited version of an old song and he is also doing an original attached to it. I was like this is interesting, this is something that I just don't want to say no, and I absolutely jumped on the project because one it was Gaurav and other that it was such a beautiful song,” says the Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai singer.
Pyar Ke Charche is a beautiful rendition brought by SongFest, from the movie Shammi Kapoor- Mumtaz starrer Brahmachari. The original track was sung by Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpuri.
“Pyaar Ke Charche is a very cute song created by Gaurav, which is relevant to today's time, but it also keeps the essence of the original song,” adds Shalmali.
This is the new song of SongFest after their track Tum Khoobsurat Ho which featured Ash King.
Gaurav who is the brain behind the concept of SongFest said, “I had a crazy experience working on this song with Shalmali, first of all she is such an amazing performer. Usually, when I do the videos on YouTube, everytime I feel that I am the best performer, but this time I had some crazy competition with Shalmali. She is amazing and she is looking a million bucks in it.”
