TIMEOUT 72 announces a cashless experience


MUMBAI: With less than 15 days to go, the much awaited music festival, TIMEOUT 72 which is scheduled to be held at Vagator, Goa on the 27th, 28th and 29th of December 2017 has announced that it will be a fully cashless festival today for its debut showcase.

TIMEOUT 72’s closed-loop cashless payment system via the RFID-enabled TIMEOUT 72 band will ensure fast, efficient and secure on-site purchases with 100 per cent uptime with more than 10 refill stations spread across the festival venue. Any leftover unspent monies on the RFID card will be refunded back to the guest’s bank account subject to the festivals refund policy; ensuring guests don’t need to fret about their unused top-up money going to waste.

Speaking of the global market, since 2011, over seven million fans have interacted with the Intellitix platform providing the cashless experience at the world's best festivals and events including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch, Tomorrowland, The Ryder Cup, and Taste Food Festivals.

TIMEOUT 72 director Argha Chatterjee states, “Cashless payment is the future and will to elevate patron experiences, increase bottom lines and efficiencies to a great extent. With this new implementation, transactions will be incredibly fast, significantly reducing queues and enabling guests to spend more time enjoying the melodic festivities and not worrying about their valuables being misplaced.  All transactions are also digitally recorded with email notifications of each transaction sent to registered guests. Pegged to be one of India’s most intrinsic and diverse multi-genre music festival, TIMEOUT 72 promises to enthral all categories of festival goers with its flawless selection of artists.

The Main Stage “Majoris” will include Jason Derulo, Wiz Khalifa, Martin Garrix, Don Diablo, Timmy Trumpet, NERVO,  Lucas & Steve, Sem Vox, Third Party, Zaeden, Lost Stories, Shaan, Justin Mylo, Varun Khullar,  DJ SA, Carnivore, Sickflip, Su Real, Candice Redding, Gioli & Assia, Shivai, Dual Drama, Gurbax, MojoJojo, Aztec, MaultekXProbeat, Almost Famous, and Zephyrtone.

The Psy Stage “Eximius,” headlined by Vini Vici, will also feature Coming Soon, Skazi, Symbolic, GMS, Jay Ramani, Starlab, Ritmo, Mrinal, Vaeya, Rave Nine, Liquidnoize, and Starling.

The Live Stage “Proximus” will host Raja Kumari + Divine, Monica Dogra, Lucky Ali, Papon, Midival Punditz, Hari & Sukhmani, The Local Train, Prateek Kuhad, Advaita, Parvaaz, Prem Joshua & Band, and When Chai Met Toast. Also don’t miss the international hip hop dance group Turn Up Squad on this stage!

For a festival in its’ inaugural year it is quite creditable that the promoters, Water Lemon Events LLP and Sudarshan Entertainment World have been successful in roping in creditable names in the business.

Apart from delivering some eclectic music, the festival has also been packed in with numerous attractions such as adventure sports, grub stations, karaoke bars, flea markets to entertain family going audiences.
