MUMBAI: One of the most notable figures of Punjabi Music, Gurdas Maan today celebrates his 60th Birthday. Born in a village of Punjab named Giddarbaha, the man today is a singer, songwriter, choreographer and an actor.
In 1980, his song Dil Da Mamla Hai got national attention and since then there was no looking back for him. The talented artiste has recorded around 34 albums and written 305 songs.
Gurdas Maan is the only Punjabi singer to bag national award for Best Male Playback singer at 54th National Film Awards for building the entire narrative through his singing of Heer in Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris.
In 2015, the legend appeared on MTV Coke Studio India Season 4 with Diljit Dosanjh to perform one of his famous tracks Ki Banu Duniya Da.
