MUMBAI: Passionate musician student Yash Warrier along with his team has given Super Mario theme music a classical makeover. The second-year Mass Media student from Jai Hind College, Mumbai talks about one of its kind musical venture with Radioandmusic.
Yash said, “I had been working on the Super Mario Bros Theme Music, which I recreated into an Indian classical version. It is the first ever concept of its kind. The music comprises of the three most popular themes namely Overworlds, Underworld and Underwater, followed by the catchy death sound and game over music.”
On being asked why he chose to make the classical version of the world-famous game, Yash stated, “Honestly, as a musician, the Super Mario Bros. Theme has hugely fascinated me to create my own version of the score. Having a strong background in Indian classical music too, I decided to create an Indian Version of the score.”

Meanwhile, Super Mario Bros, a successor to Mario Bros, is one of the best-selling video game by Nintendo Entertainment System. The original theme was created by Nintendo itself.
