MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer Shashaa Tirupati thought of welcoming the rains with a mashup of two beautiful Tamil songs Nila Kaigiradhu and Rasaali. Shashaa’s version of these songs was released by the singer on her YouTube channel yesterday.

It wasn’t easy for The Humma Song hitmaker to select the first song, but she decided on going with AR Rahman’s 90’s classic Nila Kaigiradhu. The second Rasaali is a Shashaa Tirupati song and the singer added it to her mashup because of her fondness for the song.

“My focus was in treating both the songs with utmost purity in order to not meddle with the sound and composition of the God (Rahman) of production himself,” stated the Hawa Hawai 2.0 singer.

The song video also features Sid Paul on guitars.
