MUMBAI: Last week Indian Idol had finally got its Top 30 after auditioning in Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai. This week the challenge for the Idol judges was to pick Top 14 out of the talented 30 and they made their final decision last night.
The contestants that made it to the final 14 are - Nitin Kumar from Himachal Pradesh, the talented Sumoyo Chakrobarty from West Bengal, quiet and melodious Bishwajeet from Orissa, Salman Khan of Indian Idol 10 - Salman Ali from Haryana, young nightingale and talented Krishnakali Sahu from Tripura, multi-talented Ankush Bharadwaj from Himachal Pradesh, music lover Renu Nagar from Rajasthan, the sincere geek Indira Das from West Bengal.
Avanti Patel from Mumbai, multi-instrumentalist Kunal Pandit from Mumbai, Saurabh Valmiki from Uttar Pradesh, budding drummer Vibhor Parashar from Delhi, youngest and notorious Neelanjana from Alipur and chirpy momo-lover Sonia Gazmer from West Bengal.
While some of the top contestants have devoted themselves to music from an early age and some of them have received it as a gift from their earlier generations and some of them have pursued it relentlessly as it's their only passion. It’s time to see how these top 14 contestants, chosen from over one lakh aspirants of the country will compete week after week.
