I will make sure that somebody from my team wins: Bhoomi Trivedi on 'Love Me India'

MUMBAI:  Udi Udi Jaye singer, Bhoomi Trivedi is making a comeback to the music reality shows with Love Me India. She will be one of the mentors on the show, which will be judged by Punjabi singer, Guru Randhawa, Bollywood music composer, singer Himesh Reshammiya and singer, Neha Bhasin.

Speaking about the show, Bhoomi said, “It is a kid's singing show, wherein the contestants will be divided into four zones, East, West, North and South. I will be mentoring the East zone kids. Contestants from Patna, North-East, Kolkatta, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar etc will come in my zone.”

On her return, after eight years, to the music reality space, Bhoomi further added, “I have performed, earlier, with kids on Indian Idol Junior and The Voice India Kids as well as The Voice India (Senior). I had not participated but performed with the participants as a celebrity artist (guest). But, this time, I am getting an intense subject and to return on reality TV, after eight years really matters a lot to me.”

“Moreover, the judges have played a role to groom as well as encourage me. So, I am not going to leave a chance to ensure that the kids, not only do well but also somebody from my team wins,” she added.

On her plans of how she would mentor the kids, she revealed, “Firstly, I will make sure that every single song, my contestants select, is very unique. Though we will be given themes, I will ensure that they select a different theme, every time, because there are going to be 20 contestants. I will also see that they are comfortable from head to toe while performing, singing, during song selection, dressing up and with expressions etc. I will, therefore, make sure that their perfection comes in everything.”

“Also, I will consider their choices and preference about what they want to sing and will not impose on them, what I feel, they should sing. There will be a mutual discussion, which will happen between us, every week,” the former Indian Idol contestant told.

Trivedi also aims to personally visit the kids in order to guide them, apart from on-set mentoring sessions. “Apart from being, together, onscreen, I will be visiting each and every kid, personally. On doing this, l will know their choice, have a discussion and finally lock a song, where they are also confident, which would further assure me that things will go hand-in-hand.”

Bhoomi, who has already met the kids, further said, “I have met all them and I am very happy with my team, especially, East-side, as in, Kolkatta, which is known for its talented signers. Also, I have got some very strong, talented singers belonging to each and every genre in my zone. So, I really have high hopes and will definitely make sure that they gain something out of me and maybe, I will also learn something from them. I, thus, assure that there will be a huge lot of difference between their first and last episode on the show.”

Bhoomi Trivedi also told about how she would use her reality experience for the benefit of the contestants. She said, “I will keep sharing my experiences on screen and off screen because it is very important to groom the kids. There will also be other mentor’s, coaching them, but for me, it’s very important to maintain the balance between interacting with the audience and singing on stage because they would see you, as a personality, who should inspire others. And for inspiring others, you should have the qualities within you. Hence, I would want them to be disciplined, both, on and off stage.”

Renowned singers like Abhijeet Sawant, Navraj Hans and Anusha Mani are other mentors on the show. On them, Bhoomi said, “I think they are tough competition and really talented people. I and Anusha are very good friends. I spoke to her and she told that her kids are very talented. And of course, people from North and South, East and West have got their own specialty. I could see that some folk thing hidden.

Lastly, on being asked about sharing the podium with judges Guru, Himesh and Neha, the talented singer, signed off, "I have done a performance with Himesh Reshammiya, earlier, in South Africa, but I will be meeting Guru Randhawa and Neha Bhasin for the first time.”
