The songs of 'Helicopter Eela' will take one down the memory lane: Swanand Kirkire

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s famous lyricist Swanand Kirkire is back with some exciting songs for Kajol’s upcoming release Helicopter Eela. The entire album is written by him and the first song from the movie is out.

Titled Yaadon Ki Almari, the song features Kajol and Riddhi Sen as the main lead. “This is one of the important songs of the film as it shows Kajol ma’am, making a new beginning by joining college. Also showing a mother-son bond, the song has a glimpse of how the mother is around her son like a shadow,” says the lyricist.

The song is sung by Palomi Ghosh and composed by Amit Trivedi.

On his experience of working on this project, the multi-talented artist says, “I had an amazing time while writing for Helicopter Eela. It happened for the first time that I wrote the lyrics and then the music was composed by Amit Trivedi. The album has four songs among which, one is a romantic song and the rest gives a feeling of nostalgia.”

“When I learned about the movie, I was super excited and honoured to be a part of such an amazing script. It took me around three to four months to work on the album and finally it is here. The songs will take one down the memory lane,” Swanand adds.

Swanand is not just a lyric writer, but he is also an actor, singer, music director, dialogue writer and an associate director. Since 2003, he has been entertaining the industry and also holds two National Awards and one Screen Award for best lyrics. He was also nominated for Best Album in Mirchi Music Awards 2012.  

He is currently working on this album and the first song is set to release next month. Apart from that, he is will be a part of Ajay Devgan’s next Tanaji and another Bollywood movie.
