MUMBAI: Kru172, one of the earliest rap crews from Chandigarh have been innovative and trendsetters with their marvellous sound. Delivering hit underground singles one after the other, these two brothers Navdeep Singh aka ‘Nav’ and Harsimranjit Singh aka ‘Lucky’ know how to groove the crowd.
Now they are back with a fresh new single Rockin’ With The Best which is out now getting popular on the YouTube charts.
To get a brief on the track we spoke to Kru172 where they mentioned, “In August, we had a gig in Chandigarh and that’s when we started prepping up with the song. Within two days we had our song ready and co-incidentally it came out so good. The audio to this track took only two days and we shot the video over the next few days.”
“Shooting the track was fun. We are a small self-funded team. So it’s all under our control. Also we edit and direct our videos too. It gets hectic, but at the same time it is fun. We get the freedom to do what we want. Everything is under our control,” continued the duo.

Kru172 are not just rappers but one of the most influential upcoming music producers on the Indian hip-hop scene, “We are an independent duo, which makes us our own boss. We can talk about whatever we want to. It doesn’t necessarily have to be about a certain topic or always a peppy track. It gives us freedom to cover about things happening around us. It could be about our life also,” said the makers of Rockin’ With The Best.
Furthermore, Kru172 revealed that they are working on an album that includes Rockin' With the Best as the first song. The album would be dropping in Jan 2019.
Besides, they are also working on other projects. On this, they elaborate, “We are also working with Hard Kaur on the The Rising mixtape Vol 2, so we are looking forward for it.”
In talks about their collaboration with Hard Kaur they add, “She is very supportive and really good at heart. She believes in us, which makes her push it really hard. When she heard the track, she said, ‘I have never heard somebody rap in Punjabi the way you did.’”
