MUMBAI: Rapper Ikka, who has recently rapped, sang as well as featured in Juggy D and Rishi Rich’s newest single, Get Down, is a huge fan of the duo, who are hailed to be the pioneers of desi hip-hop music in India.
Juggy D, who was caught in exclusive interaction with Radioandmusic for his comeback single in India, was all praises for the talented rapper. He also revealed the rapper’s fan love for them as he said, “Ikka has been a huge fan of ours for many years. ‘Main jab chota tha tab aapko dekhta tha, aap log mere kitaabe the and aapko dekh dekh ke main sikha hoon and aaj mujhe yeh mauka mila hai aapke saath gaana karne ka, jo bohot badi baat hai mere liye. Mera sapna pura hogaya,’ he told us.”
“Ikka was very much excited to be a part of the song. Since we come from UK, we showcase UK’s flavour in our music, but his flavour connects with the youth of India as he knows the local dialect and the way he sings is amazing,” the Jaanu singer told.
Further speaking, the legend of desi hip-hop exclaimed, “Ikka has done a great job and it’s great that we worked together for this project and people are loving our collaboration”
Meanwhile, Get Down, released under Universal Music and VYRL Originals, has garnered over seven million views on YouTube.
