MUMBAI: Singer Akanksha Bhandari, who debuted in Bollywood playback singing with the soulful song, Tere Liye, is back with its reprised version. The newbie singer had crooned the original song along side singing sensation Atif Aslam for the Bollywood movie, Namaste England.
Spilling beans on what motivated her to sing Tere Liye Reprise, Akanksha says, “I had not sung the whole song for the film. So, a lot of my friends and fans told me that ‘you should do your version of the song’ as it might suit my voice.”
“I have given it a little a Punjabi folk touch and added percussions to the reprised version of Tere Liye. This is how we made the song different from the original one,” explains the talented singer, while revealing how the song is different from the original number.
The singer also shares the difficulties, she faced, while matching aura of the original song. She reveals, “I had a little difficulty in terms of scale as I wasn’t sure of what scale do I need to pick. This is because I had to sing both Atif’s as well as my part of the song. But, we pulled it off.

Akanksha Bhandari has also featured in the video. “Featuring in the video was special,” she exclaims.
Further revealing about her upcoming projects, Akanksha says, “I have three Bollywood projects lined up, but I am working on my independent projects as well for my YouTube channel. I am doing something related to folk music because I really like to explore folk music of different space. I will definitely reveal about the same soon.”
Lastly, the singer signs off not before revealing about that one song, she wants to sing a cover of. “I would like to sing the cover version of Dariya from Manmarziyan,” she concludes.
