MUMBAI: ‘Love Me India’, which made noise for being the first kid’s live music reality show, is all set for its finale, to be held this weekend. One of the finalists, Mohammed Faiz has already declared that he will win the show during an exclusive chat with Radioandmusic.
“You can expect me as the winner,” he exclaimed.
On reaching top five, Mohammed, who belongs to Abhijeet Sawant’s team (West Zone) said, “I am very happy on reaching top five of Love Me India. It is my first show, where my performance was telecasted.”
Spilling beans about his preparations, Faiz revealed, “For finale, I have done a lot of preparations. We are doing a lot of riyaaz along with the ongoing shoots. We are working harder than before.”
When asked about mentor Abhijeet Sawant, happy Faiz exclaimed, “He has given a lot of tips and has become strict with my work. I am very happy that someone is thinking so much about me and my performance.”
“All mentors and judges motivated me equally, and hence, I cannot pick one favourite person,” he further added.
When it comes to the remaining four finalists, Mohammed Faiz finds all of them equal, but finds Guru a very tough competitor. “Guru Hegde is a tough competitor according to me because he not only sings very nice but sings classical also.” The same reply was give by another finalist, Anurag Verma.

On being asked to reveal some key highlights of the finale, Faiz told, “My note scale has been low, for quite sometime, on the show, which doesn’t my voice suit at all. But during the finale, all the songs will be high note songs, which I am sure, everyone will like. I will be performing songs of my genre finally after having sung songs of other genres. So, do listen to my songs and vote for me.”
Among the other genres, he experimented on, Faiz is confident about one, “Last time, I had sung Bheegi Bheegi Si Rattein, which I crooned very well. So, I think I can try songs of this kind of genre.”
On his Love Me India experience, the youngster shared, “My whole Love Me India experience was great. I reached so far for the first time. Also, I keep on receiving a lot of messages on social media and it feels great.”
Revealing about his musical learning from the show, Faiz told, “I learnt a lot of things. I learnt to settle band. Earlier, whenever our rehearsal happened, we had to directly perform with the band and it made difficult to understand music. But now this has changed and I can understand music and once I do, the rehearsal gets over.”
I will keep on earning name even after Love Me India, irrespective of winning or not, and will make my mom and dad proud. If I don’t win here, so what, I might win in some other show.
Love Me India grand finale will be aired on 22 and 23 December 2018 on &TV. The winner will be announced on 23 December 2018.
