Rahman sir granted me creative freedom to co-envision The Avengers: Endgame anthem: Nirmika Singh

MUMBAI: It was earlier reported that music maestro A.R.Rahman has collaborated with the makers of The Avengers: Endgame for composing the Indian version of the anthem. Now, it is learnt that lyricist Nirmika Singh has penned lyrics for the anthem titled, Roke Na Rukenge.

Speaking about the collaboration with AR Rahman, lyricist Nirmika Singh says, “I am really grateful to Rahman Sir for his trust in my writing and offering me this wonderful opportunity. As a writer, it was an inspiring experience working with Sir – he granted me all the creative freedom to co-envision the song with him, making this partnership a creative collaboration in the truest sense.”

“We wanted to create a song that not only resonated with the ethos of the film but also with the youth,” she adds.

A thunder storm, the song is a contemporary number - a clarion call for youth to rise up and take charge. Roke Na Rukenge has a catchy melody, which flaunts expertise of Rahman, while Nirmika’s lyrics add a brave flavour to the high-energy youth anthem.

Well, the song indeed serves two purposes, one of celebrating the indomitable spirit of the Avengers superheroes and second of motivating Indian youth to take charge.

Meanwhile, Roke Na Rukenge will release on 1 April 2019 in English, Telugu and Tamil. We can’t wait to tune into this energy number.
