MUMBAI: Singer Rabbani Mustafa Khan’s newest single, Aaoni Saiyyon released today on Times Music. Featuring Prerna Wanvari and Ansh Gupta, the song is a romantic number that beautifully picturises love, romance and longing in a relationship.

On being asked, what inspired him to croon Aaoni Saiyyon and how different is it from his other songs, Rabbani Mustafa Khan says, “This song has been very close to my heart as it is my first recorded song, which have I re-recorded. It’s a very soulful, melodious and has a traditional touch to it. The composition is also very soulful and melodious.”

“I liked the song in the first go when composer Harpreet Singh played it for me. I had told him about wanting to do a song. He played many songs including this one, but I got stuck on this and said, ‘I want to record this song.’ It is one of the favourite songs of mine with Times Music,” he adds.

Speaking about music video, Rabbani exclaims, “I love the song’s location. We have shot in Vai and Mahabaleshwar. There’s a lot of nature in the song. The artists, Prerna Wanvari and Ansh Gupta have really done a good job. The director of the video Shruti has also done a fabulous job.”

“I was very happy with the recording, but initially, I didn’t know, how the video will turn out, but it looks interesting. I loved the song,” he adds.

Aaoni Saiyyon is Khan's second single after a short hiatus of one and a half year. On being asked, why it took him so long to release this single, he reveals, “I am doing a single after a gap of one and a half year after Naina, which was also with Times Music. It took me long because I was travelling a lot and doing some shows. I was also planning to do a lot of other things in the sphere of music. I recorded a lot of film songs. One of my songs will be releasing in September for a film. I have been busy and couldn’t get time to shoot songs. Hence, it took me sometime to release this song.”

On his upcoming projects, the singer, who is son of Padma Vibushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan reveals, “As of now, I have recorded two more. I have done one EDM as well. I might not release the next single anytime soon because I want to do some film songs now, which I have recorded and waiting for their release. The music scene has totally changed now, so keeping that in mind, I will plan for my next single.”

Aaoni Saiyyon was launched, today in Mumbai, by renowned singer Shaan. Speaking about the song, he said, “Rabbani is a dear friend and his talent never ceases to amaze me. His work is inspiring and Aaoni Saiyyon is indeed a perfect amalgamation of classical and contemporary music.”

Lastly, Rabbani leaves a message to fans, “I just want people to listen to Aoni Saiyyo, give it love and share, like it. I also want to give me blessings and listen to my songs s well as promote them.”
