MUMBAI: Yet another classic song has been remixed for an upcoming Hindi movie, which is none other than Dharma Production’s franchise, Student of the Year 2. The song is 80’s classic song, Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani from the movie with the same name.

The new song is revamped and recreated by music composer duo, Vishal-Shekhar, who had recreated another classic Disco Deewane for the first instalment of Student of the Year. The original voice of Kishore Kumar is retained and so are the lyrics by Anand Bakshi. There are additional new lines written by Anvita Dutt, while the song is sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal Dev.

The lead actor Tiger Shroff, who has punched some groovy dance moves for the song, says, “This is my father’s (Popular actor Jackie Shroff) most favourite song and R D Burman is his favourite music composer. I have not yet told him about the song as I like to give him surprises.”

When asked, what does he think about the flak that remixes receive these days, he shared candidly, “Well, we have done this song as a tribute to the legends who created this song be it Kishore Kumar, R D Burman. It is recreated beautifully by Vishal Shekhar. We don’t think of such criticism.”

Both the lead actresses were elated to be dancing to this song and gave the audience a glimpse of their dancing prowess along with Tiger.

Student of the Year 2 stars youngsters like Ananya Pandey, Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff and launch of the remix song is the first of its much awaited album.

The song launch was a typical Dharma Production event with glamour and glitz. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is pictured on sets that are high on production quality. This one is sure to be a party starter for 2019 parties.
