MUMBAI: Veere Di Wedding singer Payal Dev has given sung three songs from the upcoming Bollywood movie SOTY 2.

Speaking about The Jawaani Song, for which, she collaborated with Vishal Dadlani, Payal shares, “Vishal Dadlani, who told me, ‘We are doing some recreation wanted to try your voice’. So, that’s how The Jawaani song happened and later Mumbai Delhi happened immediately.”

“They have used Kishore Da’s vocals here. It makes me feel so good to be a part of this legendary song as I am a huge fan of Vishal and Shekhar,” added Dev.

The Jawaani song has grabbed huge attention with its numbers; truly makers have to be credited. Also, for a singer, getting back-to-back opportunity for songs in the same film is a huge thing. “Three songs in a movie mean a lot and I have learnt a lot. Vishal is one of the best singers of our country and the experience has been priceless as it’s a legendary song,” she further adds.

Payal - an acoustic, melodious singer began her singing career in 2013 with Mai, a Telugu hit song. She has also crooned outstanding song likee Dagmag Dagmag from Veere Di Wedding, etc., which marked a major break in her music career.  She has also sung songs in different languages.

Besides, Payal is among those singers, who want to use music to create awareness in the society. She does her bit for the betterment of the nation, as she has lend her voice for Swatch Bharat Campaign in 2017. Payal has also won the prestigious award of best female Vocalist Of The Year 2015, Mirchee Music Awards and she has also received Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2017.

Lastly, Payal Dev shares about her upcoming projects, “I am giving a song for a Sonakshi Sinha starrer movie that marks Badshah’s acting debut. My next project is the Gippy Grewal starrer Marjawaan.”
