MUMBAI: Singer Neeti Mohan has sung the title track of the upcoming ZEE5 web series, Kaafir starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina.

Spilling beans about the same, Neeti says, “I am looking forward to the ZEE5 web series titled Kaafir. I have sung the title track that will be out very soon.”

“It is a very interesting story of a Pakistani woman raising a baby while in an Indian prison. I found the story very interesting,” she further adds.

While the series premieres on 15 June 2019, the title track, sung by Neeti, will be out soon.

On being asked about the difference in singing for commercial and non-commercial projects, Neeti explains, “A commercial song gets everybody instantly googling you and checking your profile, Instagram etc. and people are like, ‘oh! This is the singer.’ But, there are some songs like for example, Rochak Kohli has composed two beautiful songs for the Netflix film, Music Teacher and you won’t believe that people listen to them and are watching something that is not extremely popular.”

“But, since the content is good, people are daily into it and keep on writing like, ‘wow what beautiful song! Why is it not so popular?’ Also, people have now understood that there is a section of entertainment called ‘popular entertainment’. There is also cinema or music, which may not be topping the charts, but is really quality music and those who connect with it enjoys it,” she further explains.

Lastly, sharing her choice Mohan concludes, “I am someone, who digs into both because I want to listen to something that is not popular, but might be extremely good.”
