MUMBAI: ‘Bolava Vitthal’ - a one of a kind devotional soiree is conceptualized by Pancham Nishad creative’s and is aimed at bringing the divine bliss to every listener who can deeply connect to the supreme spirit through music. The Voice of Devotion heads to Vashi, Thane and Mumbai with a massive 14 city tour from 5 July to 21 July 2019.
India is a land of varied religions, cultures, belief systems, languages, traditions and innumerable forms of art. The one binding force that has always unified the diversity in Indians is their devotional spirit.
The objective of ‘Bolava Vittha’l is to showcase and recreate the magic of Abhangwani, the musical legacy of Maharashtra and Karnataka, through a nationwide concert tour of 14 cities.
‘Ashadi Ekadashi’ is considered as one of the most auspicious days, thousands of devotees of Lord Vitthal is known as Warkaris walk in groups from their respective homes, singing the devotional songs/abhangs in praise and reach Pandharpur town on the propitious day of Ashadi Ekadashi to offer their prayers to Lord Vitthal.
There are several paths elucidated to attain the Divine. However, in the present time, it is the path of devotion that reigns supreme. The Abhangas sung in praise of Lord Vitthal are compositions steeped in divine love, sung in simple verses, guiding the seeker in his inward journey towards the source.
These Abhang’s dedicated to Lord Vitthal, were penned in the form of prose, verses, and poetry by great Bhakti poets saints Sant Dyaneshwar, Sant Tukaram, Sant Gora Kumbhar, Sant Namdeo and Sant Janabai, Saint Purandara Dasa and Saint Jagannatha Dasa (Karnataka State) during the period from the 12 to the 19 century, which is seen as India's renaissance.
This year Bolava Vitthal an evergreen event in its 14 year would be spanning across 14 cities starting from Ahmedabad on 5 July 2019 followed by Vashi, Chennai, Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Thane, Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Dharwad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and concluding at Mangalore on 21 July 2019. The tour details are separately attached in short bringing their serene chorus of voices to cities spanning the West, South and Central Zone of India.
