We make melodies while travelling: SANAM band

MUMBAI: SANAM’s recently released track Jaane De Mujhe, will make you numb with a whirlpool of emotions, the song portrays.

“In the video, the girl commits suicide while later the guy can’t let go off her memories, hence the song’s title Jaane De Mujhe. Our experience of working on the song was great. We had a lot of fun, tried 12 different mikes and then had four preamps where we had figured out which mike really works for my voice,” explained SANAM.

He further added on how Jaane De Mujhe was processed, “We were in Israel for the shoot. On the last day, we were walking around the city and sat by the sea, while music started playing in my head. I thought something must be done about the melody. I then called Kunaal Vermaa to work on the lyrics and approached VYRL on the same.”

On asking the band about thoughts that run through their mind before a performance, one of band members’ Keshav revealed, “It depends on each song when SANAM is composing something he needs to be in that zone. When we are travelling, we make many melodies and when we are programming, it’s a different scenario.”

In the flow of explaining us the song, SANAM added, “You need to let go off certain things simply because there are things that can weigh you down and not let you live. You need to let go, no matter how hard it is. It doesn’t matter if you are in a broken relationship, just let go.”

In terms of their upcoming projects, “We are coming back with something really challenging, also we are trying different styles and will come up with a lot of originals.”
