I don't hate anybody, says Anu Malik amidst accusations

MUMBAI: Anu Malik, a big name in the Indian music industry that’s trending in news for all wrong reasons for over a year now. He has been accused of sexual harassment by several women during the #MeToo movement, but the singer has tried being positive throughout the rough patch.

The rough patch didn’t stop the Bollywood composer from making a comeback. He has recently released his new song, Monday after a gap.

“I invested my energy into work and came out with a track called Monday. I wanted to do something out of the box. I thought of youngsters who have jobs in place and need a break, but ask those people who do not have work, that’s how the song came into the picture, " said the Oonchi Hai Building fame in an exclusive interview with Radioandmusic.

The singer also spoke on the time when he was devoid of work and how his family supported him and stood besides him like a rock. “In the last ten months, I had shows, including that on radio and suddenly everything was snatched away from me. At that time, you could have lost your mental balance and become insane. I don’t want to blame anybody,” exclaimed Malik.

He further added, “My daughters, Anmol and Adah, sat down and console me saying, ‘we are going through this for no fault of ours’. They also told me to just focus on what I love the most i.e ‘music’.”

Malik also highlighted the fact of what he truly believes in, “One thing that’s helped me the most is that I don’t hate anybody. I have no vindictiveness towards people, which helps me to stay calm. I have a ‘zen attitude’.”
