MUMBAI: Indian singer cum composer, Akhil Sachdeva who has currently come up with a new hit “Tera Ban Jaunga” has had a successful music career. His hits have garnered huge appreciation and love from the audience. In a candid conversation with Radioandmusic, the singer shares an insight about his life.
When asked about his musical journey he exclaimed, “I was born with a dream, it wasn’t my decision to become a musician. My first performance was with the superior band “Nasha” that’s the reason why people call me the nasha boy and I can’t remember my life before music, I feel like I was born for it. It all started 10 and half years back and it has been an amazing journey since both for me and my family, music brought happiness in my life.”
“God has blessed me with a unique voice and I’m glad that the audience admires and acknowledges it” the singer added.
Akhil Sachdeva was awarded for the Best Music Award in the Film Fare for his hit song “Tera Ban Jaunga” from the film Kabir Singh, which garnered a fantastic response worldwide.
Sharing his thoughts on the award-winning he said, “The best thing about Kabir Singh was that it was a trend, a benchmark and that all the original music was coming to the film industry. The whole album was original and filled with soulful music. I’m so happy and grateful”.
Speaking about his latest song ‘Channa ve’ Akil said, “I’m a romantic and a soulful person from within, so I think this genre is where the publishers and people call me “King of Romance”. It was a happy song but I was told not to sound happy as it was meant to be a remembrance song, something that has happened in the past so I had to sing with sad emotions. It was a triggering challenge for me but I think I have deliberated a decent job in that because the listeners already love it even before the release of the song”.
He further concluded by saying, “I believe that my future project depends on my present, ‘Channa ve’ is something that I’m focusing now other than that I’m working for two tracks for the upcoming web show”.
